Gas lift beds raise the whole base on gas struts, turning the space under your mattress into storage.
A gas lift bed has a hinged base that rises on gas struts, much like a car boot, revealing storage under the full length of the bed. It's the most storage you can get from a bed frame, and it suits bulky things like spare quilts, pillows, luggage and seasonal clothes.
Sizes
We stock gas lift beds in king single, double, queen and king. Use the Bedding size filter to see your size, or browse double bed frames for more storage styles.
Gas lift or drawers?
Gas lift gives more space and keeps everything dust-free under the base, but you lift the mattress to reach it. Bed frames with drawers are quicker for things you use every day. Some designs combine both.
Good to know
- Check the maximum mattress thickness on the product page: very heavy mattresses can make the base harder to lift.
- Most gas lift beds are upholstered in fabric or faux leather, and some include LED lighting.
- They arrive flat-packed with the gas struts and tools included.
