Dining Furniture

Allow about 60 cm of table edge per person and at least 90 cm of clearance behind each chair so people can sit down and get up easily. A table around 120–150 cm long suits four people, while 180 cm or more seats six.

Leave about 25–30 cm between the seat and the underside of the bench. For a standard kitchen bench of around 90 cm, choose a seat height of about 60–65 cm; for a bar-height bench of around 105 cm, choose about 75 cm. Adjustable gas-lift stools cover both.
