Black Bar Stools

A gas lift stool raises and lowers with a lever under the seat, so one stool suits both a standard kitchen bench and a taller bar. Fixed-height stools are simpler. Measure your bench height and choose a seat about 25 to 30 cm lower. The seat height or adjustment range is listed on each product page.

Leave about 25–30 cm between the seat and the underside of the bench. For a standard kitchen bench of around 90 cm, choose a seat height of about 60–65 cm; for a bar-height bench of around 105 cm, choose about 75 cm. Adjustable gas-lift stools cover both.

Allow about 60 cm of bench or bar length per stool so everyone has elbow room. A 2.4 m island seats four comfortably, and a set of 3 or 4 covers most kitchen benches. Each product page shows whether you are buying a single stool or a set of 2, 3 or 4.

Orders ship from our Australian warehouse the next working day after payment clears. Outside peak season, delivery usually takes about 3–8 working days in Victoria, 5–10 working days in NSW, SA, ACT and QLD, and 7–14 working days in WA, NT and TAS. Yes. We accept change-of-mind requests within 14 days of delivery for items in their original packaging. Email us photos of the item first, and don't send it back until we approve the return. The refund is the order total minus the original postage, return postage and a 20% restocking fee. See our Refund Policy.
